The AI Toolkit

This series grew out of the same questions behind Quick Wins and The Drift: What does real communication work look like right now, and how do we support it without adding more noise, pressure, or invisible labour?

When I started writing about role drift and the quiet expansion of our jobs, one theme kept resurfacing — tools don’t fix unclear work. And AI is no exception. The hype promises shortcuts, but communicators know the truth: without clarity, context, and judgment, tools just create more work.

The AI Toolkit is my attempt to cut through that noise.
Not a list of tools. Not a stack to copy.
A practical, grounded way to understand where AI actually helps, where it doesn’t, and how to use it without losing the craft, credibility, or boundaries that make communication work… work.

The series begins this week, and each post will be paired with practical resources — worksheets, templates, and decision guides — all available in Worksheets & Tools.

This is a living resource you can adapt, question, and build into your own toolkit as your role and the tools evolve.
